This arch is located in the South Rim area of the Grand Canyon. Obtain a trail map at the Visitors Center and hike down the Tanner Trail from Lipan Point (approximately 7300ft.) The trail plunges steeply for the first two miles, then contours around alongside Escalante and Cardenas Buttes. The trail level is about 5800ft. at the window view. Cardenas Window is in the low ridge connecting these two buttes, about 3 trail miles from the rim. Please note that the Tanner Trail is not maintained and there is little shade.
