Leland Natural Bridge
Natural Bridge State Park is about 25 miles due west of I-39 and about 30 miles NW of Madison, Wisconsin. Take U.S. Highway 12 south from Baraboo or north from Sauk City to County Highway C. Go west on Highway C about 10 miles to the park. Natural Bridge State Park is a day use park, with parking lot and picnic area just off County Highway C. There is a short loop trail to the Leland Natural Bridge. The bridge has an opening 25 feet high by 35 feet wide. This weathered formation, located in Wisconsin's Driftless Area, was missed by the glaciers during the last Ice Age. Nearby the bridge is a rock shelter used by people about 11,000 years ago.
