Indian Head Arch
In Arizona, take scenic Rt. 89 south from Flagstaff for about 17 miles to Slide Rock State Park. The arch is visible on the west side of the road about a tenth of a mile south of the parking lot for the Park. There are no turnouts along the road from where the arch is visible; and there is heavy traffic on the road. Use caution in walking along the road to view the arch. There may be a route to the arch within the Park, but Rob has not investigated this possibility. The arch has a span of 42 ft. UTM coordinates 12 431301E 3866549N (NAD 83/WGS84 datum).
