Kolob Arch
Recent scientific measurements (2008) determined the span of Kolob Arch to be 287 ft. making it the second longest span in the world (after Landscape).
Seventeen miles south of Cedar City on I-15, take exit 40 to the Kolob Canyons (Kolob Fingers) Section of Zion National Park. Stop at the Visitors Center for information and a backcountry permit. A paved road leads to a parking area where there is a great view. The trailhead for the Arch is 3 1/2 miles from the Visitors Center at Lee's Pass. It is a scenic 7 mile hike to the Arch.
