Los Gigantes Arch
This impressive arch probably received its name from the Los Gigantes Buttes which are in the same area. It is located in the southern finger canyon at the head of Haspidito Creek below Cove Mesa in Apache County, Arizona. It has a span of 32 ft. and a height of 120 ft. From I/S 40 in Arizona, turn north onto Rt. 191 past Chinle and on to Round Rock where the road takes a sharp left turn. A Navajo Rt. turns east here and provides access to the area. However, it is highly recomended that a Navajo guide be employed. For the adventurous with a GPS, the arch is located at latitude 36deg. 37' 25" and longitude 109deg. 17' 14".
