Take the Black Ridge Hunter Access Rd. and drive 7.9 miles to a gate at
the junction of the Upper and Lower roads. Park on the left side of the road at
this gate, since parking further down the road is not permitted until the
Rattlesnake Arches trailhead. Hike down the upper road for about 0.8 miles,
looking for an abandoned road on the left. There are actually two such,
which meet near a gate about 100 yards from the main road. Hike to this
gate and continue on the abandoned road for a short distance and turn
right (north) and head to the arch on the west rim of Rattlesnake Canyon,
UTM 12S 686294E, 4333134N (1983 datum).
