Coral Arch, Bolivia
NABSQNO 19K 643536 -7761064 Bolivia

Coral Arch in Bolivia is featured on many postcards and brochures of the area.  It is located on the small island of rock called Isla Incahuasi (Fish Island) situated in the middle of the Uyuni Salt Lake. The rock island and the salt lake are major tourist attractions. The island is covered in giant cacti, probably a close relative of the Saguaro, but growing at 12,000 feet they are the highest cacti in the world. The arch, which is located near to the summit and is reached by a marked trail, has span of 10 feet and a height of 10 feet. There are numerous openings beneath the arch. The arch is eroded through coral — hence the name. Photo by Ray Millar (www.ArchesUK.com).
