Raft River Arches

Pictured here are three of four arches found on Tunnel Island found at the mouth of Raft River on the coast of Washington. The double arch is known as Elephant Rock (inner arch span 40 feet and height 36 feet; outer arch span 15 feet and height 23 feet). The arch on the right has no official name but can be called Raft River Arch (span 14 feet, height 22 feet). These arches are within the Quinault Indian Nation and visitation is not allowed without permission. Photos by Ray Millar.
