Kentucky
Kentucky ranks only behind Utah, and maybe Arizona, in the sheer number of natural arches. The Red River Gorge area alone has well over 200 arches. However, it is in western Kentucky that you'll find the longest arch east of the Colorado Plateau. That arch is Mantle Rock, with a measurement of just over 150 feet. Many arches, undoubtedly, are still to be found. Known natural arches can be found in these counties: Bath, Bell, Caldwell, Carter, Christian, Edmonson, Elliot, Estill, Fayette, Grayson, Harlan, Hart, Jackson, Jefferson, Laurel, Livingston, Logan, McCreary, Menifee, Monroe, Morgan, Muhlenberg, Pike, Powell, Pulaski, Russell, Warren, Wayne, Whitley and Wolfe.
