2755289. From ALG-238 (Tomb Arch), walk southwest
550 meters into an obvious long corridor of low rock to the arch, which
is located on the edge of the islet. The name of this arch comes from
the Tifinar inscription and painting from the dromedary period that is
found around the arch. Tifinar inscriptions are short messages left by
shepherds or nomads of this period. The oldest ones are not deciphered
by the present nomads of the region, although they comprise almost the
same alphabet as today. The author posing inside the span provides scale. |
