Els Arcs
This interesting double arch is in SE Spain inland from Benidorm in the Costa Blanca area. It is near the mountain village of Castell de Castells. Inquire locally for the route from Benidorm. If traveling south from San Antonio on Rt. E-15, turn west at exit 63 for about 16 miles to Castell de Castells. From the Village, cross the bridge and turn left onto road CV 752. Drive to Kilometer Post 7, a distance of a couple of miles and turn right onto a rough 2wd road (o.k. for passenger cars when driven with care). Drive 2.1kms (1.3 miles) following Font Dels Teixos signs. At a sign, Font Dels Teixos 6.3Km, turn right onto an even rougher road. Drive (or walk if road is in too bad a condition) to sign for Els Arcs. Hike the trail to the arch following white and yellow signs. The trail goes alongside a terraced orchard of almond trees. There are wild boars in the area which should not be approached.
