Lobo Arch
Photo by Rob Jones. This is one of the major spans in Coyote Gulch, the others being Coyote Natural Bridge (qv) and Cliff (qv). This is the first span in the Canyon going down-stream. It is 6 1/2 miles down Hurricane Wash and Coyote gulch to the arch. It has a span of 102 ft. and an opening height of 80 ft. It was named Jacob Hamblin Arch by a National Geographic expedition; but it had been called Lobo long before the Geographic expedition.
