Needle Arch
This Arch is in the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. In Pickett County, Tennessee, from the junction of Rt. 297 and 154 at Sharp Place, go north for 1.9 miles and turn left onto gravel Divide Road toward Twin Arches. Proceed past Middle Creek Trailhead and continue for another 0.2 miles. Turn right onto Fork Ridge Rd. Go 1.1 miles past the Middle Creek Equestrian Trailhead to the Sawmill Trailhead on the left, where there is ample parking. Take the trail behind the bulletin board. The trail immediately turns left and parallels the road for a short distance before reaching the Slave Falls Loop Trail. Turn right here and follow this trail. At just under a mile, you reach a major trail intersection. Continue straight and immediately find another trail junction (the Slave Falls Loop Trail). Stay right at this junction for 0.2 miles to the Arch.
