Rainbow Bridge
In the past, some people thought Rainbow Bridge was in Arizona probably because the trail to it started in Arizona. This trail is still available, but I suspect few use it because it is a hot 15 mile hike. Now one can take a tour boat at Wahweap Marina and dock nearby a short hike to the bridge. It's 30 some miles from Wahweap to the bridge. At Kanab, US 89 turns due east. It's about 60 miles to Wahweap Marina. There are motels in nearby Page Arizona. President William Howard Taft declared Rainbow Bridge to be a National Monument on May 30, 1910. Its opening is 309 ft. high and its span is 275 ft. making it the 3rd longest natural span in the world; but also making it the natural bridge with the longest span in the world.
