Arch of the Navarro
This arch is off the coast of northern California near the mouth
of the Navarro River about 21 miles south of Ft. Bragg on Rt. 1.
The mouth of the River is near the junction of Rt. 1 and 128; but
after flowing for its total length of 30 miles, during certain times of
the year, stops 50 ft. short of reaching the Ocean. At the south
side of the bridge over the River on Hwy 1, there is an un-marked
road that goes 1 mile out to the beach. If the beach happens
not to be cut by the River, cross over to the north side where the
arch is ¼ mile off-shore. Ted estimates the opening to be 20 ft.
