Salsbury Cove Sea Arch

This arch and MDI Arch easily could be included in a visit to Acadia N.P. Much of Mount Desert Island is occupied by the Park; but there are many areas of private property. Both of these arches are on private property and permission to enter should be obtained.. Take Rt. 3 north from Bar Harbor to Norway Drive. Turn north and park on Old Bar Harbor Rd. A path to the left of the intersection of Old Bar Harbor Rd. and Norway Drive leads down to the beach. Walk about 500 ft. on the west side of the cove to the arch. The arch must be accessed at low tide.
