NABSQNO 12S-431295-3866565. Indian Head Arch is a shelter natural arch eroded through Supai sandstone. It is located above Oak Creek Canyon, just west of State Highway 89A, about 6 miles north of Sedona, in Coconino County, Arizona. Access is via a short but steep hike from the southern end of Slide Rock State Park. The arch itself is on US Forest Service land, but is immediately adjacent to private land on its southern flank that should be avoided. Vreeland listed Indian Head Arch as number 12-21 in his catalog and reported a span of 48 feet.
