NABSQNO 12S-503880-4044710. Margaret Arch is a shelter natural arch eroded through Dakota sandstone. It is located above the head of Kaibito Wash near the eastern edge of White Mesa, in Coconino County, Arizona. Because this remote location is within the boundaries of the Navajo Nation, the services of a guide must be used to visit the arch. Although Margaret Arch it is shown on some USGS topo maps as Window Rock, the USGS Bureau on Geographic Names has established the arch's official name as Margaret Arch after the wife of former Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater. Vreeland listed Margaret Arch as number 12-17 in his catalog. It has a span of about 40 feet.
