The Hitch'n Post is a sea natural arch eroded through a remnant coastal stack of Lower Miocene marine deposit. It is located about 2 miles south of the Point Arena lighthouse, Mendocino County, California, just south of a closed U.S. Coast Guard LORAN facility. Access is usually only possible by sea kayak on exceptionally calm days. The Hitch'n Post gets its name from its distinctive shape, although apparently some marriages have taken place near the arch. It has a span of about 30 feet.
