Pickett Natural Bridge

NABSQNO 16S-696815-4047509      MAP

Although a man-made lake floods the floor of Pickett Natural Bridge in Pickett State Park, Tennessee, the stream that has been dammed to create the lake does not flow through the opening! This is best seen in winter when the lake is drained, as in the photo above. Thus, despite the name, this is a shelter natural arch rather than a natural bridge. Photo by Jay Wilbur.
