NABSQNO 12S-657183-4052730. Royal Arch is an abandoned natural arch eroded through a fin of Wingate sandstone. It is located north of Cove in Apache County, Arizona. Because it is within the boundaries of the Navajo Nation, non-Navajos must obtain the services of a guide to get close to the arch. A distant view of it is possible from the paved road leading to Cove. Vreeland listed Royal arch in his catalog as number 11-8, and reported a span of 76 feet.
