It is located about 5 miles north of Sedona, in Coconino County, Arizona. Access requires driving a rugged dirt road followed by a hike of about 2 miles one way. Vultee arch was named for Gerard and Sylvia Vultee who died in a plane crash in this area. Vreeland listed Vultee Arch as number 12-20 in his catalog and reported a span of 40 feet.
