Although Margaret Arch it is shown on some USGS topo maps as Window Rock, the USGS Bureau on Geographic Names has established the arch's official name as Margaret Arch after the wife of former Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater. Vreeland listed Margaret Arch as number 12-17 in his catalog. It has a span of about 40 feet.
