It is located on private property near Palmer Lake, El Paso County, Colorado. Close access is problematic because it is on private property. However, both sides of the arch are easily viewed from a distance from public roads. The arch has also been called Castle Rock and Citadel Rock in the past, but Elephant Rock is now the official name. Vreeland included this arch as number 18-14 in his catalog and reported a span of 18 feet and a height of 35 feet.
