NABSQNO 14S-357090-4419120. Elephant Rock is a fin natural arch eroded through rock of the Ogallala Formation. It is located on private property about one mile south of Traer, Kansas, in Decatur County. The arch is easily visible from public roads. Closer access requires permission of the land owner.

Elephant Rock has historical significance. It served as a landmark to settlers and cattle drives during the mid 19th century. It was listed in the Vreeland catalog as number 23-49 with a reported span of 6 feet.
