Example Caprock Natural Arch
NABSQNO 12S-658752-4116509. This unnamed arch is a caprock natural arch created by differential erosion between adjacent sandstone members. It is another example of the pedestal variety of caprock natural arch. It is located south of Lone Mountain, across the San Juan river from Aneth, Utah. The obvious crack in the lintel suggestes this arch is near the end of its lifecycle. One could argue that this condition makes the natural arch an old one.
