Example Fin Natural Arch

NABSQNO 12S-619804-4296016. Top Story Window is a fin natural arch eroded through Entrada sandstone. The opening is a somewhat irregularly shaped upright oval aperture and is due to weathering at the intersection of a fracture with a weak bedding plane. As the name implies, others have classified this arch as a "natural window". However, there is no good reason to do so.

Top Story Window is located in the Devils Garden area of Arches National Park near Moab, Utah. It can be accessed via the Fin Canyon trail and is visible from the next example.
