NABSQNO 11S-236180-3820485. Elusive Arch is a shelter natural arch eroded through a slab of Coldwater sandstone that has been tilted by the techtonic movement of the Pacific Plate under the North American Plate. It is located above one of the headward fingers of McCoy Canyon, about 4 miles northwest of Goleta, Santa Barbara County, California. Access is extremely difficult because of the dense thickets of chaparral in the area. Elusive Arch has a span of about 20 feet.
