Example Caprock Natural Arch
NABSQNO 12S-607366-4254898. Musselman Arch is a caprock natural arch created by differential erosion between adjacent members. In this case the harder, upper layer is the famous White Rim sandstone and the lower, softer layer is Organ Rock sandstone. Both are members of the Cutler formation.
Musselman Arch is located in the Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park. It is shown on most topographic maps of the area and is accessed most frequently by 4WD vehicles using the White Rim Trail.
