Example Irregular Natural Arch

Buffalo Rock is located in a very remote area of the Navajo Nation in northern Arizona. Non-Navajos must acquire the services of a guide to visit this arch, but few are likely to know its location. The arch is as much a balanced rock as it is a natural arch. It is perhaps closest to a double pillar natural arch except the caves are no longer evident. Nor is there a joint parallel to a cliff face. Were it not for the massive lintel, perhaps one could call this a double abandoned natural arch. All in all, the irregular type is the best place to put this feature.
