ALG-13, Imestar Arch, Tin Tazarift West Area. 21 meter span (measured), largest of 3 openings. GPS 32R 781496 2730190. From ALG-80 return to the trail and proceed along the sandy valley. After 30 minutes cross some slickrock to a flat area of black gravel. Proceed on the trail (hard to follow) NE across the flat along a oued (wash). Continue another 30 minutes to arrive at an amazing pinnacle of chaotic rocks. Bypass this on the right by crossing a oued and climb up a rocky butte to the top. Once on top you reach a large gravel flat surrounded by two pinnacle buttes. The arch can be seen from here on the skyline to the north up on the "reef". Work your way to the arch (easy). Imestar is the Tuareg name for Golden Eagle. In the photo, notice the guide at the bottom left of the opening for scale.

ALG-16, Bouhan Arch, Tin Tazarift West Area. 4 meter span by 8 meter height (estimated). From Imestar Arch, retrace your steps to the donkey trail and proceed east on the trail toward the Tin-Tazarift locality. Walk about 1 km across gravel flat surrounded by pinnacle buttes to a view of this arch to the left (NE). The arch is located 150 meters away and cannot be missed if you watch for it. Bouhan means owl in the Tamahaq dialect.

ALG-24, Mejbed Arch, Tin Tazarift West Area. 2.5 meters high (estimated). From Whole String Arch (ALG-21) retrace your steps to the main trail and Moula Moula Arch (ALG-17). Take the main trail east toward Tin Tazarift. Walk about 400 meters and the trail passes on the right side of this arch. There are several other arches of this type close by. Mejbed means animal tracks in Arabic. In the photo you can see the trail (3 tracks) in the background.

ALG-25, Puppets Theater Arch, Tin Tazarift West Area. 5 meter span (estimated). GPS 32R 572122 2727703. From ALG-24 continue down the trail toward Tin-Tazarift bowl camp for about 350 meters. The arch is visible to the south a short distance from the trail.

ALG-26, Hidden Arch, Tin Tazarift West Area. 17.2 meter span (measured), 14 meters high (estimated). From ALG-25, proceed down the trail for 100 to 150 meters. The arch is furtively visible to the east on the rock masses, so watch closely for it. This is the second largest arch of Tin Tazarift after Imestar Arch (ALG-13). Access to the arch is easy.
