Example Pillar Natural Arch

NABSQNO 12S-680865-4333983. This unnamed pillar natural arch has eroded through Entrada sandstone. It is sometimes refered to as Bullhead Arch. Because the lintel is fractured near the base, it might be considered old. It is located above Mee Canyon, west of Colorado National Monument in Mesa County, Colorado, roughly 300 meters north of the much more famous Will Minor Arch (NABSQNO 12S-680894-4333823). Because this is a wilderness study area, access is difficult. Check with the BLM in Grand Junction for a permit and directions to Will Minor Arch. The arch has a height of about 20 feet.
