Vaskapu or Iron Gate is a pair of arches in a limestone outcrop in the Pilis Mountains near the small village of Pilisszentkereszt about 20 miles north of Budapest. To reach them there is a stony road out of the village to where a popular forest trail climbs steeply but relatively easily up to them. The lower arch (above) is the larger with a span of 30 feet and a height of 21 feet. The upper arch (below) has a span of 12 feet and a height of 16 feet. Photos and measurements by Ray Millar.
