Sardinia, Italy
S'Archittu (which translates as "little arch") is both the name of this tunnel-like opening and of the nearby town, a tourist resort on the western coast of Sardinia. Sardinia is the second-largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, after Sicily, which is to the southeast of Sardinia. Sardinia is an autonomous region of Italy. S'Archittu has an approximate span of 48 feet and height of 22 feet. The arch is illuminated at night. Photo by Ray Millar.
