Sam Pollock Arch is located in Sam Pollock Canyon, a tributary of Hackberry Canyon, in the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. It can be reached by a 12-mile round trip hike from the unpaved Cottonwood Road. Good hiking directions can be found in the book Utah's Favorite Hiking Trails by David Day. The arch has a span of 70 feet. The person in the photo is Erv Kranzler.
